Heinz is no stranger to unique sauce combinations to keep customers satiated.
But now the food company is launching a digital sauce dispenser that will allow customers to personalise their flavour creations.
It has been developed in record speed, in just six months from the initial brief to the physical product, and there are more than 200 possible sauce combinations available.
Heinz Remix is the latest innovation from the company’s food service or “Away From Home” division, which is a key growth platform in the company’s long-term strategy.
The machine is touchscreen operated, enabling consumers to select from a range of “bases” which include Heinz ketchup, Ranch, 57 sauce, and BBQ sauce.
You can then personalise the sauce with one or more “enhancers”, which currently are Jalapeño, Smoky Chipotle, Buffalo, and Mango — at their preferred intensity level (low, medium, high).
Vice president of disruption for Kraft Heinz Alan Kleinerman said: “As a company, we’re transforming through innovation by making bigger, more intentional bets to fuel our growth and create new experiences for consumers.

“With Heinz Remix, it’s more than a sauce dispenser; it’s an insights engine and business model enabler that will help Kraft Heinz understand and respond to consumer trends and flavour preferences in real-time. Who knows — maybe our next new sauce combination will come from a superfan using Heinz Remix?”
Kraft Heinz will debut Heinz Remix at the 2023 National Restaurant Association Show in Chicago, from May 20 - 23.
There are plans to pilot the innovation with restaurant operators in late 2023 to early 2024.
