Heinz launches new microwavable full breakfast in a pot

Snack giant Heinz has launched the ultimate on-the-go breakfast of sausage, eggs and baked beans in a heat-and-eat tub.

The innovative instant meal hit supermarket shelves at Tesco and Asda today and takes just two minutes and 45 seconds to warm up in the microwave.

A layer of beans topped with sausage, spinach and scrambled egg costs £2.50 for a 230g pot.

With just under 235 calories per serving the Beanz Protein Pot is aimed at Brits in a hurry to grab a quick bite after a workout or run without the hassle of cooking.

Heinz said it was “perfect for consumers that are short on time but still want to enjoy a delicious and high in protein breakfast or lunchtime option”.

Said to contain 14.6g of protein per pot, Emily Wright, junior brand manager at Kraft Heinz, added: “It’s tasty, convenient, easy to make and high in protein.

"Watch this space as we are planning to add more delicious flavours to the range later this year.”
