Heinz food bundle initiative will help struggling families during lockdown

Food giant Heinz is helping parents are juggling life, work and home schooling - while making sure families get a nutritious dinner on the table.

It has launched its new charity Heinz to Home School bundle that will help provide a week’s worth of breakfasts to a child via partner Magic Breakfast.

Costing just £10 plus P&P, the bundle is packed with quick, easy and tasty meals as well as a selection of fun items to keep children full of Beanz and entertained for at least as long as it takes to make tea.

Each Heinz to Home School bundle includes:

  • 8 x Heinz Beanz (415g)
  • 4 x Heinz Cream of Tomato Soup (415g)
  • 4 x Heinz Spaghetti Hoops (400g)
The scheme is designed to make sure children have a healthy breakfast (oksun70)

Three child-friendly recipe cards for all the family to cook together, with instructions for Beanz Burgers, Chicken Tikka Masala using Cream of Tomato Soup, and Sweetcorn Fritters with Spaghetti Hoops.

Double-sided colouring in placemats featuring fun Hoops, soups and Beanz themed puzzles and games, as well as a 4-pack of coloured mini pencils to keep the kids occupied during dinner (placemats also available to download for free from Heinztohome.co.uk ).

For every bundle sold, Heinz will provide a week’s worth of breakfasts to disadvantaged youngsters. Together with partner Magic Breakfast, the food giant will sure that thousands of pupils across the country can benefit from a hot, nutritious breakfast despite school closures, ensuring no child is too hungry to learn.

The Heinz to Home School charity bundle is the latest activity in its five-year partnership with Magic Breakfast and comes alongside a pledge to supply a further 1.1 million meals to support the one-in-five children who are at risk of starting the day hungry, according to research.

Matt Mill, marketing lead, Heinz Meals, said: “We know how hard it can be to keep the little ones entertained and educated, let alone the added pressure of dreaming up delicious and nutritious meals for the family, three times a day, seven days a week.

"We are proud that with this new bundle we are not only helping parents who are juggling home schooling and work life with quick and tasty meals, but we can also help – via our donation to our charity partner Magic Breakfast - those families who will struggle to get food on the table during these tough times.

"We are also pleased to announce that – on top of the 12 million meals pledged to Magic Breakfast at the start of the pandemic in 2020 - we are supplying another 1.1 million meals to help children in this lockdown, and that’s even before accounting for the donations our new Home School bundle will enable.”
