Tesco customers are being urged to return a number of baby food products after sharp metal fragments were found in a jar that had been tampered with.
Heinz and Tesco are voluntarily recalling all 7+ months Heinz By Nature jars from the baby food range following the grim discovery earlier this week.
According to the Food Standards Agency (FSA) "only the jars in the 7+month range and purchased from Tesco are affected".
The same products from other retailers and in other packaging, like pouches, are not affected.
These are the eight Heinz products that parents should be looking for (if bought from Tesco):
- Sweet & Sour Chicken
- Mango Chicken Curry
- Cottage Pie
- Cheesy & Tomato Pasta Stars
- Sunday Chicken Dinner
- Spaghetti Bolognese
- Winter Veggies & Lamb and
- Pasta Bake with Tuna
Speaking to the Mirror, a spokesperson for Heinz said: "Consumers can continue to use these products bought from other retail outlets in complete confidence.
"Products in the range were removed from sale immediately and we are taking this voluntary recall action as a precaution."
