Heineken Cup St James' Park fanzone opening hours, drinks prices and food

Food trucks and beer buses have parked up on the land behind St James' Park for a two-day rugby fanzone.

Tonight, ASM Clermont Auvergne take on La Rochelle at St James' Park from 7.45pm. On Saturday, Leinster play Saracens in the Heineken Cup Final .

There are various fanzones around the city, including the Quayside's Champions Rugby Village .

Right next to St James' Park,  Strawberry Place and St James Metro's has been turned into a fanzone, known as 'Spectator Plaza'.

Thursday, May 9 - 7pm-11pm

It will be offering food, drink and music including the folllowing:

Traditional hog roast

Angelfish - fish and chips from the Corbridge-based fishie

Chandni Chowk - a gazebo-style Indian street food set-up named after the busy heart of Old Delhi

Posh Box - a menu of coffee, crepes, cakes and cookies from a horse box set-up 

Moroni Pizza Shack - a wood fired pizza trailer 

72 Angels & Burgers  - burgers, steaks and sausages from the gourmet burger van 

Music  

Thursday - Hayley Watson; Talk Like Tigers, and Blistered Molly 

Friday – Shakedown and Union Street 

Saturday – Shakedown and Maverick Rejects.
