Over the years, Heidi Klum has become the queen of Halloween, all because of her infamous, star-studded party.
In 2000, the supermodel threw her first Halloween bash. Since then, she’s been going all out with her A-list friends every October.
"When I moved to America, I immediately fell in love with Halloween and the spookiness of it. All that was missing was a fantastic party. It felt like a real opportunity for me,” Klum told the Hollywood Reporter.

Her first ever Halloween party was already iconic. It was attended by Prince Andrew, and while he dressed as himself rather than in an actual costume, he knew it was a party not to be missed.
Since her first year as the ultimate host, she instated the rule that guests must get dressed up or else they won't be allowed entrance.

“The majority of guests were not super dressed. So, after that, I implemented a ‘no costume-no entry’ rule. We quickly taught people that if you don’t come in a costume, you’re not getting in. The costumes get bigger and better every year. And that’s because guests know they won’t get in unless they bring it,” she told THR.
Klum goes all out every year - and sometimes, not in the way you would expect. She works with Prosthetic Renaissance founder Mike Marino who has created prosthetics for many of her costumes. He created her memorable Planet of the Apes inspired costume in 2011 when she and then-husband Seal dressed as apes. He was also behind her legendary anatomically correct Jessica Rabbit costume in 2015 and her old woman get-up at her 2013 party.

"By me doing crazy, elaborate outfits as the host, my hope had always been that all my guests would follow. And it's worked because, over the years, people have become increasingly more outrageous with their costumes,” Klum said.
Neil Patrick Harris and his husband David Burtka are frequent guests. Last year they went dressed as Wesley and Inigo Montoya from The Princess Bride.
Oscar winning actress Lupita Nyong’o went all out as Dionne from Clueless at the Halloween bash in 2018. At last year’s bash, Bella Hadid and her then-boyfriend The Weeknd dressed as Beetlejuice and Lydia Deetz.

Klum’s costume for this year’s party is still under wraps, but she doesn’t disappoint. Expect plenty of prosthetics and an outfit that’s sure to upstage the rest of her celebrity guests.
