HEED skincare says 'bald doesn't need a cure' as launches range for heads

A new skincare company aimed at those who have lost their hair hopes to remove the stigma behind being bald and encourage those who are to look after their skin.

HEED skincare for heads, based in Anglesey, was recently launched by Martin Schwaller, who has previous experience in the journalism and restaurant industry, as a way of encouraging bald people to look after and be proud of their look.

Working alongside specialist labs and manufacturers in Yorkshire, HEED makes products using essential oils and vitamins, formulated to keep heads healthy and encourage those who are bald to flaunt their look.

Martin said: “Bald doesn’t need a cure, bald is wonderful, but the only products I could find available on the market where negative or preventative.

“As a bald person of many years I understand how bald heads do need looking after and protecting since they are so exposed to the elements, to pollution, and the ravages of modern life. Nothing was available to help.

“I decided it was high time bald heads were treated with the dignity and care they deserve”.

Martin says his life-long interest in wine (he once won the Observer wine taster of the year), has given him an understanding too of how aromas and scents marry and blend.

As a result he says the products are delicately scented without having that strong forceful scent most other producers of men’s products seem to think is how men want to smell.

A keen advocate of charitable giving, Martin has pledged that a proportion of the profit of every bottle sold will go towards cancer research, in particular helping to improve chemotherapy treatments so they are more effective and to help reduce any side effects including loss of hair.

Martin says he has already received amazing feedback from proudly bald people across the country.
