Hector Bellerin tells Arsenal fans to forgive Granit Xhaka for angry 'f*** off' substitution

Hector Bellerin has called for Arsenal fans to forgive Granit Xhaka following Sunday’s sensational outburst at the Emirates, telling supporters: "We only win when we are together."

Unai Emery replaced Xhaka with Bukayo Saka in the second-half of the 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace - with home supporters reacting with sarcastic cheers and boos directed at the Swiss as he left the pitch.

In response, the Arsenal skipper cupped his ear to the crowd and appeared to tell home supporters to "f*** off" before removing his shirt and heading straight down the tunnel.

Arsenal legend Ian Wright has called for Xhaka to apologise to supporters - but Bellerin has appeared to defend his teammate with an impassioned post on social media.

"We are all humans, we all have emotions, and sometimes it is not easy dealing with them," Bellerin wrote on Twitter.

“It is time to lift each other up, not to push each other away. We only win when we are together."
