Hector Bellerin's transfer stance becomes clear with Arsenal keen on £21.7m La Liga defender

Hector Bellerin is 'determined' to leave Arsenal between now and the conclusion of the summer transfer window.

That's according to a report from The Athletic, who say that the 26-year-old is becoming 'extremely frustrated' with the north London club apparently reluctant to allow him to leave the Emirates Stadium this summer.

Bellerin was an unused substitute for the Gunners ' Premier League opening day defeat to Brentford on Friday, with Calum Chambers deputising in his place at right-back.

The Spanish defender has been with Arsenal for over 10 years now but is understood to be keen on ending his decade-long association with the club before the end of the transfer window.

Bellerin has apparently made his desire to leave the Gunners perfectly clear to Mikel Arteta and technical director Edu and is prepared to decrease his wages if it helps to secure a transfer away.

Bayern Munich have been linked with Bellerin, with the Bundesliga champions reportedly prepared to offer midfielder Corentin Tolisso in an exchange deal.

Inter Milan were also linked with the Spaniard, but the Italian champions have since completed a deal to bring in Holland right-back Denzel Dumfries from PSV Eindhoven.

Arsenal are reportedly keen to strengthen in Bellerin's position and have identified Emerson Royal as an option, but 'nothing is advanced at this stage'.

According to Estadio Deportivo, £21.7million is being demanded for the Brazilian right-back. It is thought to be a similar situation with Atletico Madrid and former Tottenham defender Kieran Trippier.

Bellerin, despite wanting to leave Arsenal, seemingly has a really strong relationship with Arteta.

Speaking to the High Performance Podcast of progress being made under Arteta earlier in the summer, Bellerin said: "I think personally at Arsenal that’s something (emphasis on off the ball movement) that has changed a lot.

"I think the ethics and the way they work since Mikel has been the manager of the club has completely changed.

"And these behaviours, our behaviours have been awarded by them. There’s more emphasis on that behaviour, so the way we run back or the way we create space for a player.

"Because you know you can move to receive the ball, you can move to get a player away or you can move into space, there’s so many ways you can move for and sometimes a goal is created not by the player that passes the ball or by the player that scores but by the player that actually created the space.

"And many people, like the fans in the stands or even the pundits sometimes, they won’t see that. But truly that’s what we’ve practised, that’s what the coach has asked, and by the player doing that we're able to score.

"I think even sometimes for the players it’s hard to see, when other teams do it and stuff, but we know in our dressing room and in the way we play that we scored that goal thanks to that player."
