Hector Bellerin's brilliant comment on Arsenal injury update in Dubai as he works towards return

Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin has updated his followers on social media from Dubai during the club's warm weather training camp during the international break.

The 24-year-old is currently out injured with a knee injury sustained in January following his return to the team after a calf issue.

In his absence, the Gunners have sought to replace his influence with Ainsley Maitland-Niles ahead of veteran full-back Stephan Lichtsteiner.

He was initially expected to be out for the rest of the season and his arrival in Dubai has raised hopes that his recovery could be progressing ahead of schedule.

football.london understand that Bellerin and Rob Holding, who is also out injured for the foreseeable future, only took part in gym work, with Danny Welbeck fit enough to join the rest of the squad out on the training pitch, striking the ball.

On Instagram, the Bellerin joked about finding a way to get back out on the pitch for Unai Emery's side sooner rather than later.

In the caption to an image of the right-back and his head coach, the Spaniard added: "So boss, you reckon I can play without my leg left?"

The left knee is the area that has forced the defender out of action.

A popular figure among fans of the Gunners, Bellerin is recognised as one of the squad's most important players.

He joined Arsenal from Barcelona in 2011 and has been a regular fixture in the first team since the summer of 2014.
