Hector Bellerin has become the latest big name Premier League star to use his platform to back a big cause.
Gunners defender Bellerin has partnered with global charity One Tree Planted and pledged to plant 3,000 trees for every Arsenal win for the rest of the season.
Bellerin has spoken at length before on environmental issues including the scourge of single-use plastics and the dramatic effects of climate change on society.
It follows the likes of Marcus Rashford who forced the Government to do a U-turn on school meals and Raheem Sterling's anti-racism campaign.
Reforestation charity One Tree Planted look to create a healthier climate and help reforestation efforts around the world, with an emphasis on improving the social opportunities for those involved.
Bellerin said: “As a child growing up in Barcelona, I spent a lot of my with my Grandad in his garden planting trees and playing in forests so it’s an issue very close to my heart.
“When I saw the great work that One Tree Planted do, not just the planting of the trees but within the communities as well, I knew it was something that I wanted to get involved in.
“I hope that by doing this and using my platform, others will see how important it is to look after our world and donate to a cause which really effects us all.”
