Hector Bellerin may finally get his Arsenal transfer wish amid fresh La Liga interest

Hector Bellerin may yet get his opportunity to return to Spain this summer despite a recent setback in a potential Real Betis move.

Betis were linked with a move for Bellerin ahead of the summer transfer window, but recent reports have suggested they will not be able to find the money Arsenal are likely to want for the right-back.

Instead, it's reported the Seville side will attempt to wait until towards the end of the transfer window to get the 26-year-old for a cheaper fee.

Though, they might need to move a little quicker if they do want to land Bellerin because fresh reports from Marca claim there is further interest in La Liga.

Marca claim La Liga champions Atletico Madrid are interested in a move for Bellerin as they look to strengthen the right side of defence.

Atleti currently have Kieran Tripper playing at right-back, though the England international has been linked with a move away this summer, with the likes of Manchester United interested.

But it's reported Bellerin would add competition to the former Spurs man, rather than replacing him, and it's also claimed Atleti director Andrea Berta is a big fan of the Arsenal star.

Bellerin could well be allowed to leave this summer having reportedly asked for the opportunity to depart ahead of this season before agreeing to stick around for Mikel Arteta.

It's claimed Arteta promised Bellerin he would revisit the idea of allowing him to leave as long as he stayed for one more season, and that brings us to now.

Interest is already being generated around Spain for Bellerin, where the defender will likely want to end up having been away from home since 2011, when he joined Arsenal from Barcelona.
