Hector Bellerin fulfilled pomise to Dani Ceballos during Arsenal's Community Shield victory

Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin has revealed he promised Dani Ceballos he was going to nutmeg a player in the Community Shield.

The Gunners picked up the Community Shield at Wembley on Saturday after beating Liverpool on penalties

Takumi Minamino's first Liverpool goal cancelled out Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's stunning opener before the reigning Premier League champions were beaten 5-4 on spot-kicks.

One video posted by the Gunners on social media after the game shows Bellerin playing the ball through Sadio Mane’s legs during the first-half.

Mikel Arteta confident Aubameyang will sign again with Arsenal

And Bellerin replied to the video on Instagram, by saying: “tbf I promised @danifuli10 I was gonna meg someone.”

Reports in Spain have also linked Ceballos with a move to Real Betis this summer, but Gunners boss Mikel Arteta claimed last week that the midfielder has told him of his desire to return to the club.

He said: "Well, we have had some talks and Dani knows really well what I think about him.

"He was pretty clear with me as well that his intention was to remain with us, but obviously Real Madrid is involved and I don’t know yet what they want to do with the player.

“But he’s a player that we are interested in because we really saw, in the last few months of the season, what he is capable of bringing to us."
