Hector Bellerin: Arsenal captain gives his tracksuit to a cold mascot at Liverpool

By all accounts, Hector Bellerin is an excellent human being.

When the fashion icon is not delivering university speeches to help guide younger generations in life, or raising awareness of the climate emergency, the 24-year-old is also quite good at football.

Bellerin was named as Arsenal's captain for Wednesday night's Carabao Cup tie against Liverpool at Anfield, and made small talk with an Arsenal mascot in the tunnel ahead of the game.

Noticing that the young boy appeared to be feeling the chill on a cold night on Merseyside, Bellerin duly took off his own tracksuit top and handed it to the starstruck mascot.

The mascot will leave Anfield tonight with both a story to tell and the jacket of a Premier League star, while Bellerin's reputation among Arsenal fans was further enhanced as Twitter users praised the wing-back's "class" altruistic gesture.
