Hector Bellerin and Kieran Tierney return to Arsenal training after injury

Hector Bellerin and Kieran Tierney on Thursday took part in full training with Arsenal after returning from injury.

Bellerin has been out of action for almost nine months after rupturing knee ligaments in a win over Chelsea in January, stretching for the ball having only recently returned from another lay-off.

Tierney, meanwhile, is a summer arrival from Celtic. He has not played a competitive match since May due to knee and groin injuries and underwent a double hernia operation over the summer.

Both are in line to return to first-team action by the end of September or may have one eye on Arsenal's home match against Standard Liege on October 3 in the Europa League.

Meanwhile, Rob Holding is in contention for his first appearance of 2019 having recently returned from his own serious knee injury.

Holding damaged knee ligaments against Manchester United last December and has been afforded minutes with the United-23s of late.

The defender could come off the bench on Sunday as Arsenal travel to face Watford in the Premier League
