Heavyweight boxer astonishingly gets knocked through the ropes and out of the ring

Heavyweight boxer Cassius Chaney remained undefeated in his Friday night bout against Joel Caudle, and it was a dominant performance that sent his opponent out of the ring.

Literally.

In the first round of the Top Rank Boxing event at MGM National Harbor near DC, Chaney landed a series of brutal blows to Caudle’s head. The beating had Caudle wobbling to the point that a punch eventually sent him tumbling through the ropes and out of the ring.

Despite falling out of the ring, Caudle rose to his feet to continue the fight. But the referee would call the fight a few seconds later.

Yikes.

The ref probably could have stopped the fight before the tumble too — it was going that poorly for Caudle.

It was clear going into the fight that Caudle would stand little chance against Chaney, but few could have seen that coming.

The TKO win improved Chaney’s record to 15-0-0.
