
A crash involving two cars caused traffic delays on Maitland Road at Mayfield on Friday morning.
The crash was causing heavy westbound traffic conditions just past Hanbury Street around midday; travellers in the area have been urged to exercise caution and allow extra time.
Paramedics were called to the scene just before 11.45am and assessed two patients. A spokesperson said they were not seriously injured and were unlikely to need transport to hospital.
Emergency services were on the scene just before midday to help clear the roadway.
Meanwhile, holiday traffic is causing heavy conditions and delays at Heatherbrae on the Pacific Highway near Masonite Road.
Drivers in the area have been advised to expect delays around 10 minutes and have been urged to travel safely.
