Heavy snow hits England: send us your pictures

Much of south-east England has woken up today to find the ground covered in white after the heaviest snowfall in decades. We've already got some pictures of how the snow is affecting London and the south-east but we'd like you to send in pictures of the wintery conditions where you are. We'll be adding your images to a Google map throughout the day so that you can see how different parts of the UK are coping with the weather.

If you would like to submit your pictures, email pictures@theguardian.com with the picture attached along with your name, age and location. Please put SnowBritain (with no space in between words) in the subject field for your emails and include details about where the picture was taken and who is appearing in the picture so that we can add captions to the images.

Update: Thanks to everyone who has already sent in their pictures. We are working through all of them and adding them to an interactive map as they come in.
