Heavy rains uproot 18 trees in Thane, 3 hurt

Thane

THANE: As many as 18 trees were uprooted and seven partially damaged in various parts of Thane city due to heavy rainfall. Three people suffered minor injuries in one of the trees collapse incidents reported here since Tuesday.

The casualty of trees reported within a span of 18 hours since Tuesday midnight to evening is possibly the highest to be reported in Thane, said officials.
