A warning has been issued for possible flash flooding in the Hunter with heavy rainfall predicted to lash the region across the next few days.
The NSW State Emergency Service issued the warning due to forecast rainfall of 50 to 100mm across the Hunter, Central Coast and Mid North Coast with isolated heavy falls up to 200mm possible.
In Newcastle, the Bureau of Meteorology has forecast daily falls up to 45mm from Thursday to Saturday, while Knights fans heading to Gosford for Friday's game will be in for similar conditions.

NSW SES Northern Zone Chief Superintendent Steve Patterson urged residents and motorists to be prepared.
"Rainfall over the last few weeks in the Mid North Coast, Central Coast and Hunter area has contributed to a number of soaked catchments," he said. "This means water runoff and flash flooding is more likely in these areas.
"Bring in or secure any outdoor items in the yard or on the balcony, check your gutters are clear and your roof is in good condition, trim any overhanging branches and take care when travelling in severe weather conditions. If you come across a flooded road please make the safe decision. Turn around, it's just not worth the risk."
Hunter Weather said the rain was a result of two low pressure troughs developing while a high pressure system was meandering east.
"This is going to help keep the troughs in place, and with the loaded moisture in the atmosphere, this will all combine to produce significant rainfall."
