After a cold but dry start, Merseyside is set to be hit with blustery rain today.
The clear skies won't last very long and soon a band of heavy rain will move in from the South-West. Rain is set to start mid morning and continue into the evening.
Forecasters say that the rain will become lighter and more scattered into the night. However it will be much colder with minimum temperatures of -1C with patchy fog developing.
