Heavy rain set to hit Ayrshire as public transport and roads to be affected

Heavy rain is expected to hit Ayrshire tomorrow.

The Met Office have released a 'yellow warning' for parts of the county, with travel expected to be disrupted.

The Met Office warning reads: "Persistent heavy rain followed by showers are likely to produce some localised flooding and travel disruption.

"Bus and train services probably affected with journey times taking longer.

"Spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer.

"Some minor interruptions to power supplies and other services are possible."

The warning is in place from 6am on Thursday until 12noon on Friday.
