JAIPUR: Moderate to heavy rainfall lashed various places of the state on Thursday morning followed by water logging in many places including Jaipur. After the revival of monsoon on Wednesday heavy rainfall continued in almost 10 districts including Jaipur.
The Met office further stated that heavy rainfall will continue in many places of eastern and some places of western Rajasthan in the coming days.
People in Jaipur woke up amidst drizzling which converted into heavy rainfall after 9 am onwards. Many city roads including Sikar Road, JLN Marg, Tonk Road and SMS Highway remained waterlogged. Vehicles including buses and cars could be seen moving at slower pace on water-logged roads. A rainfall of almost 40 mm was received in the city but it has again exposed the lofty claims of civic authorities on its drainage management. Similarly heavy rainfall was witnessed in other parts of the state when a rainfall of 70 mm was received at Pratapgarh.
