VISAKHAPATNAM: Heavy rain lashed parts of Vizag city and north Andhra Pradesh on Sunday. Roads in the city were inundated and traffic movement affected at some places.
The rain brought relief from humid weather in Vizag city. Vizianagram town also saw a heavy downpour for two hours on Sunday, recording over 13 cm of rain.
India Meteorological Department (IMD) officials said under the influence of a cyclonic circulation over the north and adjoining east-central Bay of Bengal, a low pressure area is likely to form during the next 24 hours.
