Heavy police presence attend report of 'concern' for man in Kilmarnock

A heavy police presence attended a report of 'concern' for a man today.

Multiple emergency service vehicles were spotted just outside the town shortly after 5pm.

Police have confirmed this evening that they managed to get the situation under control and the man was traced near Fenwick and has been taken to Crosshouse Hospital.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Around 1pm on Thursday, May 6, concern was raised for a man in the Kilmarnock area.

"Officers traced the man near Fenwick and he has been taken to Crosshouse Hospital.”
