Heavy emergency service presence following reports of 'disturbance' in Prestwich

A man was threatened with a knife during a fight in Prestwich

Police and paramedics were called to reports of a disturbance on Warwick Street just after 5pm on Wednesday (March 10). 

On arrival, officers found three men had been involved in an altercation. 

A 26-year-old man was treated at the scene for minor injuries to his hands. 

No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing, a spokesman for GMP said. 

In a statement, the force said: “Shortly after 5pm on Wednesday 10 March 2021, officers were called to reports of a disturbance on Warwick Street, Prestwich.

“Emergency services attended and enquiries established that three men had been involved in an altercation. One of the men was threatened with a knife. 

“A 26-year-old man was treated at the scene for minor injuries to his hands. 

“No arrests have been made and enquires are ongoing.”
