Heavy D's cause of death after Celebrity Big Brother star discovered by brother

Former Celebrity Big Brother star Heavy D is believed to have died of a heart attack, although his loved ones are waiting to find out more.

An official cause of death has not yet been released.

His death at the age of 47 was announced on Twitter yesterday by a friend.

Heavy - real name Colin Newell - is said to have been found dead on his kitchen floor by his brother Patrick after he had been missing for almost two weeks.

The star hadn't posted on social media since November 14, and that was also when a witness last saw him.

Neighbour Lorna Onabanjo said she had become worried about him after not hearing from him.

She told MailOnline : "I did my best to raise his spirits but then he went home and no one ever heard of him again."

She was contacted by Heavy's family who passed on the sad news of his death.

She added: "Some of his brothers went around to his home in North London and they saw his body through a window on the kitchen floor.
