Heavily loaded truck crushes sedan, driver trapped

SAMUT PRAKAN: A woman driver was injured and trapped when a truck with a load of soil capsized and crushed her car on Thepharak Road in Muang district on Monday afternoon.

The incident happened on the outbound section of Thepharak Road in front of Nam Daeng market about 1.30pm.

The truck and its load landed right on top of a white Toyota Altis sedan registered in Bangkok. Two outgoing lanes of the road were closed so rescuers could get the injured driver out of the flattened car .

It took them over half an hour, using hydraulic jaws, to extract the unconscious woman.  

She was rushed to local Synphaet Hospital.
