Scotland is set to bake in scorching temperatures this weekend as a heatwave hits the country.
Forecasters at the Met Office are anticipating the dry and warm conditions that we felt today, to continue for the days ahead, as most of Scotland is expected to enjoy sunny conditions over the course of the weekend.
High temperatures are expected to stay at the late 10s/early 20s from today all the way through to Sunday.
It will be a welcome relief for areas of Scotland that have been battered by heavy rainfall and floods over recent days.
For East Kilbride, the Met Office predicts Friday to be mainly dry with the temperature reaching 22°C
And for Saturday, locals can expect a lot of long sunny periods and feeling quite warm.
There is a chance of thundery showers moving up from the South on Monday.
