As the Met Office has extended a heat alert for more parts of Britain we want to hear how the heat is affecting you and your journey into work.

Whether you are sweltering on a train, passing out on a bus, or beating the heat on a bicycle we want to hear your stories.

Our London blogger Dave Hill took a thermometer onto a new Boris Bus and recorded a temperature of 32 degrees.

Can you beat that?

And what happens when you get to work? Nick Clegg has been padding around barefoot. Do you have any better tips for keeping cool?

Please send us your stories, pictures and thermometer readings.
