Nottingham is expected to bask in temperatures of up to 28C this week as a heatwave hits England.
A slightly cloudy but hot and sunny start to the week on Monday, September 6, is expected to be followed by a scorching day on Tuesday.
Temperatures of 28C have been forecast across Nottingham on Tuesday, followed by another hot day on Wednesday when highs of 27C are expected.
But the Indian summer is not expected to last too long as rain is predicted for the end of the week.
Temperatures will remain on the high side, with 23C and rain forecast on Thursday.
The wet weather is expected to remain on Friday when 21C is forecast across Nottingham.
