Heathrow Airport: Sewage falls from plane onto man and his garden

A man and his garden were hit by falling sewage from a plane over the South East.

The incident was discussed at a council meeting for the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead on Thursday, October 14.

A local councillor for the Liberal Democrats, Karen Davies, explained that she had been contacted by a resident about the issue, reports Berkshire Live .

She explained at a meeting of the aviation forum that the man’s “whole garden, and garden umbrellas, and him” were covered in sewage from the aircraft, according to the BBC.

Councillor Davies asked during the meeting if anyone else had suffered a similar issue, to which residents replied that there had been rare instances of frozen waste falling onto properties.

She made clear that the norm was frozen, not raw sewage.

Councillor Bowden then suggested that it was not frozen in this instance due to the warm weather in July, which could have melted it.

A third councillor, Geoff Paxton, said that this could only have happened due to inadequate servicing of the plane as modern airplane toilets are vacuum secured.

The resident had been advised to contact his insurance for the damage caused, but decided that it would not be worth the increased premium.
