Heathhall gets into the festive spirit with Christmas craft fair

A Christmas craft fair has boosted the festive feeling in Heathhall.

Heathhall Community Centre hosted the event on Saturday and there was a wide variety of stalls offering hand-made gifts including jewellery, knitted items and festive decorations.

Local children were even able to visit Santa in his grotto.

The money raised from the fair will be used to buy replacement parts for a defibrillator that was stolen and vandalised recently.

One of the fair organisers said: “We are a team of volunteers who support the running of Heathhall Community Centre.

“We fundraised for our defib around four years ago.

“However, it was stolen from its box and found in the local woods.

“Due to exposure, we are needing new batteries, memory card and other bits of equipment, which were removed from the defib.

“These items are very expensive and thanks to the great turnout at the fair, we’ve made a good start in raising the money we need.

“Saturday’s event was very busy and we’d like to thank all the crafters, hard working volunteers and the local community for their
support.”
