Heather Small reacts to rumours that she is Harlequin on The Masked Singer

Heather Small has shut down rumours that she might be one of the mystery celerities remaining on The Masked Singer.

The 56-year-old M People star was chatting to The Mirror's Jessica Boulton about plans for the future, and suggested she would be keen to star on a judging panel in her career.

Heather has already been on Strictly Come Dancing, but maintained that she has no intention of appearing on shows such as The Masked Singer as a contestant.

The Mirror's Jessica Boulton asked: "There was also some speculation that you might be one of the people on the Masked Singer... a few of the judges have guessed that it could be you. Would we ever see you on a show like that?"

Heather replied: "Not as a contestant... I did get asked to be a contestant a few times, but the judging side not too much."

Heather was also certain that her iconic voice would be identified instantly on the show, adding: "Have you seen those costumes? They look great, but they're heavy. And I think, would I be able to change my voice? I think I'd be rumbled in like five seconds flat."

Heather was chatting to The Mirror about all over her upcoming projects, and revealed that she has some a new single coming out.

Earlier, Heather had also teased that she might try her hand at television presenting and judging in the future.

She said: "I like presenting, I'd like to present and I'd like to judge, it's so rewarding. If its with music, I feel like I give an insight that maybe the rest of the panel doesn't have.

"So I'd like to do some presenting, I'd like to do some judging, I think it'd be fun... It's not to be mean, it's to be constructive and to have some fun.

She added: "I love what I do and I've learnt a lot so passing that on in a fun way would excite me."
