Heat turns the tables on Frith

Here was Monkey, all ready to condemn Heat magazine for a puff interview with its former editor Mark Frith so he could plug his new book The Celeb Diaries - published by Ebury, out now - over four pages in this week's issue. TV editor Boyd Hilton wrote up the interview, but got some of the magazine's staff to pose the questions to Frith, one of which was the thoroughly Heatian question: "Are you gay?" Well, Mark, are you? Frith laughed and responded: "Well, I can understand why people might think I'm gay and it's become taken as read all over the place that I am, which I'm totally fine about, even though I'm not." That settles it, it must be true - it's in Heat!
