Heat announce details for Dwyane Wade ceremony at final home game

The Miami Heat have announced plans for Dwyane Wade's final regular-season game at AmericanAirlines Arena, in what also could be his final appearance in a Heat uniform in South Florida.

The team announced on its website that the pregame ceremony commemorating Wade's final season will begin at 7 p.m. next Tuesday, prior to the Heat's game against the Philadelphia 76ers.

That game closes out the Heat's home schedule, with their 2018-19 regular season concluding the following night, on April 10, at Barclays Center against the Brooklyn Nets.

Wade has announced that this 16th NBA season will be his last, with the tribute before the 76ers game a final step to what he has termed his "One Last Dance."

The Heat announced that the ceremony will include:

_ Official Wade career retrospective video

_ Special guest tributes

_ Exclusive memorabilia giveaways

_ A Dwyane Wade fan address

Doors will open for the April 9 game at 6 p.m.

It will be the second ceremony at a Heat home game in two weeks, with Chris Bosh's No. 1 jersey retired at halftime of the Heat's March 26 loss to the Orlando Magic.

The Heat currently are involved in a fight for one of the final postseason positions in the Eastern Conference, leaving it unclear as to whether Wade will then return to AmericanAirlines Arena for playoff games.

Should the Heat advance to the postseason, the Heat would be assured of at least two additional home games.

The Wade ceremony is part of the Heat "L3GACY" campaign, commemorating the moments with Wade's jersey number.

According to the Heat's ticket site, tickets for the game against the 76ers at midday Tuesday were available starting at $135, with some tickets in excess of $3,000.
