A heartwarming video of Chadwick Boseman surprising fans has been re-shared in the wake of his death.
The actor, best known for playing superhero Black Panther, has died at the age of 43 following a four-year battle with cancer.
Boseman's family said in a statement that he had been diagnosed with colon cancer four years ago and died surrounded by his loved ones, including wife Taylor Simone Ledward.
Tributes have been paid by many in the industry as well as countless fans after it was revealed that films including Black Panther, Da 5 Bloods and Avengers: Endgame were all filmed "during and between countless surgeries and chemotherapy."
Among the messages to be shared was a clip of Boseman surprising fans of Black Panther on the Jimmy Fallon Show in 2018.
The five-minute video sees his supporters stand in front of a billboard featuring Boseman's powerful film image, talking about what Black Panther meant to them.
As they finished, he would jump out from behind a curtain to surprise them.
Many of the fans described Boseman as a "hero" and thanked him for his work.
One tweet of the clip has been viewed more than 12.5 million times with tens of thousands of likes and shares.
And they have been flooded with comments.
"Oh god this is so beautiful and painful to watch— he brought hope and joy to so many of us and he exuded love and empathy. What an egregious loss. Thank you for posting this but it hurts so much," one said.
Another commented: "This made me cry. Such an inspiration. Thanks for sharing this. Means a lot."
"Wow. This was beautiful to watch, what an effect he had. RIP, so tragic to lose this bright light so young," a third added.
