Heartwarming short captures what 'Home' means to the North East

The North East and its people are celebrated in a heartwarming short film created during the coronavirus lockdown.

The Bigger Picture and Morpeth writer Allison Davies collaborated to create 'Home', a video which explores what home is in the North East in 2020.

Home combines footage - shot before the lockdown - from creative agency The Bigger Picture with words penned by Allison. Her poem captures the every day parts of the North East life and why its scenery - from stunning countryside to seemingly ordinary back alleys - matters so much to those who live here.

Home also touches on the impact of social distancing and the longing we have to see our loved ones, as well as the moments which have lifted spirits during this difficult time.

The video has been watched more than 12,000 times on Facebook.

From Berwick to North Yorkshire, this is 'Home' in 2020, by The Bigger Picture and Allison Davies.

As Allison wrote: "There is nowt like it"
