Heartwarming reason why stranger left money and handwritten note in a tub of baby formula

A mum was stunned to find cash and a heartwarming note left by a kind stranger in a tub of baby formula.

Tillz Siofele discovered the handwritten message nestled in the top of the tin a few days after sending her husband to a supermarket for it.

To her surprise, alongside the folded piece of paper was a five dollar bill, the Mirror reports.

Tillz, who lives in Brisbane, Australia, said she found it "strange" at first, but on closer inspection the heartwarming message left her feeling speechless.

The note read "Enjoy this little something. Happy Wealth Wednesday", with the anonymous writer adding a smiley face and a heart.

Curious about her find, Ms Siofele took to social media and posted a photo on Facebook.

It later emerged the note and money was left by a woman named Susanna Lucy, who is known for her acts of kindness in the area.

She often leaves small surprises for strangers in their groceries.

Speaking to news.com.au, Ms Lucy said: "There’s not enough of that sort of stuff that happens. I get a lot out of it too obviously."

She added that she loves to make someone else's day.

Ms Siofele was inspired by the gesture and has decided to pay the money forward in the hope that someone else will benefit from it.
