Heartwarming moment two drowned puppies are revived by workmen who did CPR

Heartwarming video shows two drowned puppies being revived using CPR.

The tiny dogs were discovered by workmen in a small pool of water near a construction site in Trang, southern Thailand.

Workers spotted a mother dog pulling one of her litter from the water - and then realised there were two more puppies in the 23-inch deep pool.

Both animals were unconscious when they found them - so they began doing chest compressions on them.

Footage shows the puppies spluttering back to life after several minutes of CPR from the men.

One of the men, named Somboon, said he saw the mum take one of the puppies out of the water, but then she went back and sat by the pool.

The 42-year-old said: "We were curious why the mother dog went back to the pool and was sitting beside it instead of nurturing her wet pooch.

"We went to check at the pool and found that there were another two puppies drowned so we retrieved them and returned to our hut.''

He added that they were expecting to have to bury the puppies - but then they had a second thought.

He said: "After we brought the mother dog and her puppies to the shelter we thought the newborns were already dead. Then we think that we should try to give them CPR first and I am glad that we did.''

Somboon's colleague Somjai, 46, the little pooches are now safe.

He said: "I think it's better for them to be adopted by the locals because our work here is only temporary, so we will leave soon.

"We were worrying that when we were gone they might have a hard time finding food but we cannot adopt them ourselves."
