A Scots schoolgirl has kept her isolated great-gran's spirits up by teaching her a TikTok dance through her front window.
Oliva-Mae Hanvey was visiting her 81-year-old great-gran Mary Stevenson at her Irvine home for Mother's Day, but was unable to go inside amid coronavirus safety restrictions.
Determined to make it a fun visit, the 12-year-old thought of an inventive way to interact with the pensioner - deciding to teach her the latest TikTok dance routine.

Olivia-Mae's mum Louise, 39, said: "She was visiting her great gran and grandma on Mother's Day, and that all communicated through the window, and Olivia-Mae just decided to make it more fun by teaching her gran the latest TikTok.
"It brought a smile to both their faces and we all had a laugh."
Louise says the family are all trying to stay positive in what is a very difficult situation for everyone, not least Mary who is separated from her 37 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Louise said: "We are very positive people- so doing the best we can by keeping busy with exercise, homework etc.
"We have a family group chat going keeping everyone smiling by simply just chatting. We also decide if anyone going to the shops, we ask what each of us need to try and reduce the number of visits to the shops.

"For me what really helps me is leaving my phone at home while walking the dog just takes my mind off it all.
"My gran is always surrounded by family. She has 37 grandchildren and great grandchildren, so this is difficult for us all."
