Christmas came early to the pups at Dogs Trust in Finglas this year after Santa Paws laid out dozens of fun toys for them to choose from.
Teddies, balls, and squeaky toys were placed inside a big hall and the dogs were let in one by one to choose their favourite.
Dogs Trust filmed the pooches choosing the toys and the video is guaranteed to put a smile on any dog lover's face.
Some dogs sprinted into the room as if they already knew what toy they wanted to take, but others were a lot more careful about making their decision.
One tiny pooch, Gizmo, took a chicken and a cow toy from the pile but had a hard time deciding which one he wanted.
After careful consideration, he decided the cow was his favourite.
A Dogs Trust spokesperson wished all of the charity's supports a Merry Christmas.
They said: "Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, we can line up toys for the dogs to enter one by one and choose their very own Christmas present.
"Some dogs are straight in there and immediately know what they want while others need a helping hand.
"Some find their toy and then bring it to their favourite human to show them what they’ve gotten, and some are so petite they struggle bringing their toy with them, but their determination wins in the end!
"We hope you smile as much watching this as we did recording it, Merry Christmas, from all the dogs and the humans at Dogs Trust Ireland."
