Hearts win Championship title after Raith Rovers and Dundee results

Hearts are officially the 2020/21 Championship winners.

Robbie Neilson 's team set up today's coronation after thumping Alloa 6-0 at Tynecastle last night, thanks to Liam Boyce's hat-trick and goals from Euan Henderson, Aaron McEneff and Jamie Walker.

That put them on to the 50 point mark and 14 clear of nearest chasers Dundee and Raith Rovers, who needing to win all their remaining games to keep it going.

But James McPake's side were held at home to Greenock Morton while the Kirkcaldy club drew against survival scrappers Arbroath.

The Fifers were 2-0 up at home but Dick Campbell's men battled back to claim a point late on and hand the title to the capital club.

The Jambos don't play again until a wee on Tuesday, so can relax a little while those below them fight it out for play-off places.

As a result of the Scottish Cup embarrassment against Brora Rangers, it's a free week for the men in maroon next weekend before traveling to Cappielow the following Tuesday.

It's then Neil McCann's Inverness in Gorgie before Hearts end the campaign away to Raith on Friday 26 April.
