Hearts vs Aberdeen handed PPV boost with game heading towards 'complete sell out'

Hearts fans have been handed a pay-per-view boost as their Premiership clash with Aberdeen is set to be streamed later this month when the two teams face off in the battle for third.

Aberdeen visit was rescheduled last week after the local authority and the SPFL agreed to move the game forward to a lunchtime kick off due to the Beyonce concert at BT Murrayfield on Saturday, May 20.

That opened the door to the game being shown on PPV after being snubbed by Sky Sports in favour of Hibs v Rangers on the Sunday, with the club now opting to air the massive clash on their streaming service. The Jambos have fallen behind Aberdeen into fourth after a drop in form under Robbie Neilson before his departure in April, with Steven Naismith looking to reignite the team's push for third after six straight defeats.

A 6-1 win over Ross County got Hearts back to winning ways after defeat in the Edinburgh Derby, but Aberdeen's 2-0 win over Rangers has seen them maintain their five-point lead as both sides seek a potential shot at European group stage football this summer.

There are some tough tests standing in the way of both sides in the run up to their Tynecastle meeting however, as Hearts host league leaders Celtic before a trip to St Mirren in the games before Barry Robson's Reds visit the capital.

His side face a tough outing at Ibrox before welcoming Hibs to the Granite City, with both sides knowing only victories will do in their pursuit of a third place finish.

Their showdown at Tynecastle is also edging towards a complete sell-out, with fans snapping up tickets for the vital fixture. PPV passes for the fixture are priced at £12.99, with coverage set to start at 11.45am.
