Hearts unveil striking new third kit as Premiership returnees reveal comeback for fan favourite design

Hearts have revealed their third kit for the 2021-22 season.

Robbie Neilson's stars will wear a strip that harks back to a fan favourite - the Asics-made away top from the 1993-94 campaign that also featured black and blue stripes in the style of Italian giants Inter Milan.

The blue in this coming term's effort is deeper, with kit suppliers Umbro and the club crest both finished in a gold trim.

The black stripes also carry a faint outline of Tynecastle Park and it will go on sale on Thursday morning at 9am.

It's sure to be a top seller in the maroon half of Edinburgh and may be worn for several seasons like the special 'pledge for life' black and maroon third kit which was first revealed at the start of 2019-20 but was then kept for another year in the Scottish Championship.

The Premiership returnees have also announced that the new home kit will be unveiled in early July.

On Monday the Gorgie side confirmed MND Scotland would be named as their new shirt sponsor in a partnership through Dell Technologies.

Hearts and MND Scotland have worked together for a number of fundraising initiatives in the months since former captain Marius Zaliukas' tragic death after battling the disease in private.

A contribution to MND Scotland will be made by the club with every home shirt sold.
