Hearts troll Dundee as Tynecastle side jump on Twitter trend with new twist on bitter relegation row

It's fair to say it will take a long time for Hearts to forget how they were treated after the SPFL shut down in March.

The Tynecastle side felt they were unfairly treated as they were relegated to the Championship despite not playing a full set of fixtures in the top flight.

Dundee were the final team to vote for the season to end after a controversial mix-up with an email and Hearts took the chance to troll them on social media.

A recent trend on Twitter has been to post two pictures, one with the caption 'How it started' and one that says 'How it's going'.

And one of the pictures Hearts posted was a screenshot from an article stating that Dundee were set for a U-turn on their SPFL to consign Hearts to relegation.

The second was a screenshot of the Championship table which shows Hearts and Dundee right at the bottom.

And Hearts fans loved it too, and even former Hibs striker Tam McManus found it funny as he said: “Aye. I’m gonna give ye that one.”

@gareth1874 said: “My football club.”

@1874t: “All about this level of sh*thousery coming from the official club account. Never been so proud.”

@JamieSwinney86 added: “Fair play to Hearts, this is top trolling.”
