Hearts trio Conor Washington , Michael Smith and Liam Boyce have all been called up to the Northern Ireland squad for their Euro 2020 showdown with Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Michael O’Neill ’s men head to Zenica for their playoff semi-final on Thursday 26 March.
Their prize, should they prevail, is a final at Windsor Park against wither the Republic of Ireland or Slovakia for a place in this month’s finals.
Washington returns to the squad after a lengthy injury lay-off, but the Tynecastle striker has netted two goals in his last two games, sealing their 3-1 derby win against Hibs at Easter Road before equalising in the 1-1 draw with Motherwell on Saturday.
Strike partner Boyce has been in and out of the Hearts team through a combination of injury and illness since hitting the winning goal against Rangers on his debut.
He was introduced at half-time at the weekend after playing 90 minutes against Hibs in midweek, as did defender Michael Smith, who continues to be a key member of Daniel Stendel’s squad, haviing returned to his natural position of right back.
There is representation from across the Ladbrokes Premiership in O’Neill’s pool. Motherwell ‘keeper Trevor Carson makes it as does club mate Liam Donnelly.
Livingston defender Ciaron Brown, on loan from Cardiff City, is looking to add to his solitary cap.
Experienced Rangers midfielder Steven Davis is in line to win his 188 cap for his country. Ibrox teammate Jordan Jones also makes the squad despite a lack of game time domestically.
