Hearts have made a fast start to life back in the Scottish Premiership and after four matches remain unbeaten and locked at the top of the league with fellow city rivals Hibs.
Robbie Neilson has already added six new faces to his side this season and has spoken of his desire to sign 'one or two' more players before the end of the transfer window.
One player the club have already secured for the 2021/22 campaign is 24-year-old English defender Taylor Moore. They could, however, could be in line to land Moore on a permanent transfer from the English Championship side.
Bristol City manager Nigel Pearson has spoken regarding the future of new Hearts signing Taylor Moore and has opened the door for a permanent switch to Tynecastle.
Speaking to BBC Radio Bristol, Pearson said: "Well, he's going to get limited opportunities [at Bristol City].
"And I think it's good for him and it's just very, very straightforward: he's not going to get the exposure in games that he needs.
"And whether it turns into a permanent one, we'll see. But we're also trying to have a tighter ship in terms of finances. I never hide from that. It's a reality of life and football. For me, it's a no-brainer.
Another defender who could be on his way to Hearts is Everton youngster Jarrad Branthwaite.
The 19-year-old centre-back has been linked with a move to the Jambos as they look to secure a loan deal for his services.
The centre back was wanted by Rangers prior to his move to Goodison Park and spent the second half of last season out on loan at Blackburn Rovers.
He's made just five appearances for Everton since joining from Carlisle but is very highly-rated within Everton.
The Daily Mail report that Robbie Neilson wants to bring him to Tynecastle to continue strengthening the Hearts defence.
