Hearts transfer latest as Robbie Neilson reveals agreement to extend loan deal

Robbie Neilson has confirmed Hearts have agreed to extend the loan deal for Livingston keeper Ross Stewart.

The goalie's short term deal was due to run out at the end of January, but the Tynecastle side have arranged with Livi to keep the 25-year-old in Edinburgh until the summer.

Stewart, who has made two Betfred Cup appearances this term, has played back-up to Craig Gordon.

Neilson is delighted to have the keeper on board until the end of the season and insists he has fit seamlessly into the group.

He told the Edinburgh Evening News: “We’ve agreed most of it with Livingston so we will extend that deal until the end of the season

“Ross has come into this group, trained very well and fitted into the culture as well.

“We were pleased getting Craig in during the summer. Ross arrived and competed every day in training. He’s been pushing to get into the team and his performances in training have been excellent so we’re pleased to have him.”
