Hearts thug sang racist song about Celtic star Scott Sinclair then threw coins at fellow Jambos

A thug football fan who sang a racist song about Celtic star Scott Sinclair has been banned from attending football matches throughout the UK.

Hearts supporter Craig Tibbetts launched into a disgusting chant referencing the striker and bananas to the tune of Yellow Submarine.

He also pushed his head into the face of fellow Hearts fan, James Harvey, 71, during an exchange as the team faced Celtic in the Betfred Cup semi-final at Murrayfield, Edinburgh, in October last year.

The 20-year-old thug then threw coins and spat at other Hearts fans before he was thrown out of the stadium for fighting with supporters who objected to his behaviour.

He returned to the dock yesterday, where Sheriff Robert Weir banned the lout from attending football matches for the next two years.

The sheriff also told oil and gas industry worker Tibbetts, of Uphall, West Lothian, to carry out 200 hours of unpaid work in the community.
